Video Surveillance Components

IP Cameras

IP surveillance cameras receive and send video footage via an IP network. They come in a variety of makes and models, ranging from domes and bullets, to fisheyes and PTZs, dependent on the space they’re needed for. Johnson Controls offers intelligent cameras with built-in advanced analytics and redundancy capabilities if network connection is lost.

NVRs or Cloud Recording

Network Video Recorders (NVRs) are computer systems that receive IP camera streams via a local network to both record and store video data. One NVR can work with one camera to 128 cameras, and operates 24/7. Instead of NVRs, companies can leverage cloud recording and remove the need for NVRs on-site.

Video Management Software

Video management software (VMS) consolidates different pieces of a video surveillance system into a single interface where you can retrieve and view video. With VMS, you can monitor and export video footage, build reports, and use features such as forensic search to look up specific information across multiple locations.
